Bring your own shopping bag. This can help reduce plastic use tremendously and reduce waste overall.
Stop buying water bottles. Get a Nalgene, or a bottle made out of ____ (insert a reusable material that Silverback uses). This will help cut down on a lot of landfill plastics and help make a difference.
Choose cardboard or plastic bottles and bags. Pick pasta in a box, or detergent in a box, not in a plastic container.
Don’t use straws. Buy a reusable one, also.
Skip your disposable razor. Instead of a plastic razor, use a razor that is good for many uses, or an electric razor.
Rethink food storage. For instance, instead of plastic bags, use a reusable container. Keep carryout containers, and be smart about usage.
